The Steel Box (Ammathi, Kodagu, Karnataka) runs this website. We collect only what we need to send you your order and answer your messages. We don't sell your information to anyone.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, phone number, email (optional), delivery address and any notes you add. We use these to fulfil and deliver your order, send you updates, and keep the invoice records the law requires.
  • When you pay: payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that you paid and a payment reference, but never your card, UPI or bank details.
  • When you contact us: the name, email, phone and message you send through our contact form. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share browsing data for ads. Your cart is saved in your own browser so it's still there when you come back, and it isn't sent to us until you check out.

To understand which pages are useful, we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see how people move through the site (pages viewed, time on page, rough location by country/city, device type). We don't send Google your name, email or order details. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or with Google's opt-out add-on, and the site will work the same.

Who we share it with

We share your details only with the services needed to run the shop:

  • Razorpay, to process your payment
  • the courier or India Post, to deliver your order (name, address and phone only)
  • the providers that host our website and order system
  • Google, for website analytics (no names, contact details or order details)

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as we need them to reply.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, except records we're legally required to keep. Email [email protected].
